Yes, it sounds bad, but it’s true!
When you’re a content creator, things happen. It’s inevitable.
You haven’t noticed, but here are a few things you’re doing wrong:
- Comparing your brand to others: You probably do this unconsciously, however, it is an extremely toxic practice. Keep in mind that, in social media, YOU DO YOU. It’s okay to take inspo from other similar accounts, but NEVER copy others’ content. While they’re similar, they’re not the same as you!
- Trying to grow as quickly as possible: Big NOPE. Rather than trying to grow your following, you should focus on making your platform sustainable. What’s gonna make it last?
- Trying to please everyone: Yup, we’ve all been there. Don’t try to make EVERYONE love your content. Instead, focus on what your followers already love about it, and make more of that. This will attract the right audience.
- Trying to do it all alone: Let’s face it, you’re not a superhero. At some point, handling all that being a content creator requires will be too much for you. Find a team of people, whether it be big or small, that you trust. They can help you and support you in tasks that you’re not an expert at, or that you simply don’t have enough time for.
